The biggest challenge was the changing of levels and the relative heights of the drains for the whole of the development.
Tracing all the pipework to allow a suitable drainage solution to be installed took some careful planning and design work

Beautiful Basements was asked to take a damp, unused storage area at the bottom of a large apartment block and turn it into a new living area, including a bedroom, bathroom and lounge.
The existing basement was stripped all the way back to the original bricks, and a waterproofing system was installed to the walls, floor and stairs. All membranes were linked to a sump and pump, which discharged into the building developments complex drainage system.
Once waterproof, the conversion started. The space was insulated and had new electrical and plumbing fitted throughout. The walls and ceiling were plaster boarded and a new screed floor was laid with underfloor heating running through it. Finally the bathroom was fitted along with the new doors and all associated carpentry.
