The window for the basement opens straight onto the public footpath at the side of the house. Special permission had to be sought from local authorities to be able to utilise this as an escape route

Project Details

Conversion of a small, damp basement to a more open and bigger feeling basement space.

The basement was waterproofed with a cavity drainage membrane system, linked to a sump & pump.

Once waterproofed, Beautiful Basements created a new dining room and living area, effectively doubling the amount of habitable space in the house.
